Thank you for your generous support of the Little Sisters of the Poor!

dsc_4997In 2016, the Father John E. Doyle Council of the Knights of Columbus undertook an effort to raise the funds needed to purchase a new cargo van for the Little Sisters of the Poor. The Sisters depend upon a reliable cargo van to collect donations of food, clothing, furniture and other items – items that are essential to the operation of Holy Family Home and the care of the home’s nearly 100 residents. The cost of a new van is in excess of $40,000.00.

Through the generous response of members of the Doyle council, the parishes the Doyle council serves (Corpus Christi and St. Rose), and area Knights of Columbus councils, over $45,000.00 was raised to purchase a new cargo van. More than $15,000.00 was raised for this effort during a collection here at Corpus Christi in October, 2016. On October 6, 2017, members of the Doyle Council presented the Little Sisters of the Poor with their brand new cargo van!

The Little Sisters of the Poor and the residents at Holy Family Home remember all of their benefactors – including those here at Corpus Christi – in their daily prayers. Thank you for your generosity.
