Good Friday Message

goodFridayI’m providing the Good Friday reflection a little early today. With the 12 Noon prayer experience with our country and the 3 PM livestream from our Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul, there’s a lot to pray today. That’s a good thing. So here are the links to both the reflection video and the 12 Noon country-wide prayer opportunity.

And here’s what’s going on at CC. In order to keep our Church open for your private prayer without shutting you out, we celebrated the Lord’s Passion at 8 AM this morning. So the Cross is present in the Church for your veneration (and on Good Friday, it’s venerated with a genuflection—yes this one day of the year). The Blessed Sacrament is in the Chapel in Repose for prayer there too. I know that normally we wouldn’t mix those elements of our prayer, but I’m sure you agree that these are NOT normal times.

Praying for you always,
