Free-Throw Contest!

Attention all girls and boys, ages 9—14… get ready to show off your foul shooting expertise at the Annual Knights of Columbus Father John E. Doyle Council #9715 free-throw championships at Corpus Christi Parish! Girls and boys who are ages 9—14 (children must be that age by January 1, 2022, and proof of age is required) will be eligible to participate in this fun event.

· Boys and girls ages 9—11 will use a women’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from a 12-foot line at a 10-foot-high basket.

· Girls ages 12—14 will use a women’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from the regulation foul line 15 feet from a 10-foot-high basket.

· Boys ages 12—14 will use a men’s regulation-size basketball and shoot from the regulation foul line 15 feet from a 10-foot-high basket.

The participants will have a warm-up and then shoot 15 consecutive foul shots with the highest number of shots made for each age group and boy/girl category winning that bracket.

The winners in each age group for girls and boys will move on to the District Championship to be held at Saint Maria Goretti on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from approximately 6:15 PM—9:00 PM.  Every participant will receive a Knights of Columbus Basketball Free-Throw Patch and a Certificate of Participation.  The winners will receive a Championship Certificate and a Patch.  For more information and/or to pre-register, please contact Anthony Rosato at ajros2702@gmail.com.
