Devotions

Corpus Christi Procession

The Corpus Christi Procession is an annual event celebrated on our parish feast day of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ following the 11:30 PM Mass. It is an outdoor Eucharistic procession (weather permitting) with various prayer stops at outdoor altars set-up around the parish campus.

Daily Prayer Chapel

The chapel, located inside Corpus Christi Church, is open every day from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (6:30 PM on Wednesdays). Please enter the chapel using the Parish House walkway that faces Supplee Road. The doors of the main church are locked following the last Mass on weekdays.

Divine Mercy Chaplet

The Divine Mercy Chaplet is recited in our church following the 7:15 AM Mass.

Eucharistic Adoration

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place in our chapel every Wednesday following the 7:15 AM and concludes with Benediction at 6:30 PM.

Forty Hours

The Forty Hours Devotion is the solemn exposition of the Blessed Sacrament extending over three days in honor of the forty hours the body of Christ is believed to have rested in the tomb. Saint John Neumann, the fourth bishop of Philadelphia, was the first to hold the devotion in America. The Forty Hours Devotion is held yearly in our parish.

Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is one of the largest lay organizations in the Catholic Church, founded in Dublin in 1921. Its purpose is entirely spiritual and devotional, namely, the sanctification of the members and their practice of charity toward others. Meetings are held in the Ministry Room of Corpus Christi Church (located next to the Sacristy) every Wednesday beginning at 7:30 PM and concluding by 9:00 PM.

Miraculous Medal Novena

A Novena to the Miraculous Medal is recited every Saturday following the 7:15 AM Mass in the chapel.

Novena to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

Novena devotions honoring the Immaculate Heart of Mary are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM in the chapel.

Novena to Saint Peregrine

Novena devotions in honor of Saint Peregrine, Patron Saint of Cancer Patients, are offered on the first and third Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 PM in the chapel.

Parish Mission

A Parish Mission is planned every two years at Corpus Christi Parish. It is a preaching event conducted on consecutive evenings. The preaching, usually by guest priest, centers on the Word of God as well as the teaching of the Catholic Church. The preaching emphasizes an individual’s personal relationship with the Lord, a deeper sense of the parish community, and a greater consciousness of service within our community.

Prayer Gardens

Our recently refurbished Prayer Gardens, with outdoor Stations of the Cross, are located behind the convent and provide the opportunity for private prayer and meditation.

Prayer Group

Every Thursday, beginning at 8:00 PM, there is a gathering in our parish chapel before the tabernacle to give God glory and praise. We welcome anyone who longs to experience the Lord’s presence and those with a prayer need for themselves or others. The Lord waits for YOU!

The Rosary is prayed in our chapel following the 7:15 AM Mass Monday through Saturday.
