Welcome to our Catholic Altar Linens Ministry! We are a group of dedicated volunteers who provide clean and beautiful linens for our church’s altar. Our mission is to help create a sacred and reverent environment for worship, and to ensure that the altar linens are always clean and well-maintained. Our ministry is responsible for providing and maintaining the linens used during Mass and other liturgical services. These linens include the purificator, corporal, pall, and altar cloth. We also provide linens for other special occasions such as baptisms, weddings, and funerals.
Volunteer Opportunities:
We are always looking for new volunteers to join our ministry! No previous experience is required, and training will be provided. Here are some ways you can get involved:
- Cleaning and ironing linens: This is the most basic and essential task in our ministry. We need volunteers to help clean and iron the linens after each use, ensuring that they are ready for the next Mass.
- Sewing and repairing linens: We also need volunteers with sewing skills to repair any damaged linens, or to create new ones when needed.
- Coordinating schedules: We need volunteers to help coordinate the schedules of our volunteers, making sure that we have enough people to cover each Mass and other special occasions.
- Fundraising: We rely on donations to fund the materials and equipment needed for our ministry. We need volunteers to help organize and coordinate fundraising events and activities.
