Prayer Garden

Corpus Christi’s Prayer Garden is a large garden located on the church’s property, directly behind the St. Joseph Center and is open 7/24 every day of the year.
The Prayer Garden was started in the mid-1980’s by then Pastor, Fr. Lochran who wanted a place where parishioners could enjoy nature in a peaceful and meaningful way.
With over three acres in size, the garden offers many prayerful statues and memorials to the Blessed Mother. Other statues to St. Joseph, St. Francis, St. Anthony, and The Sacred Heart of Jesus are surrounded by flower beds. There are three large picnic tables scattered in the Prayer Garden under a canopy of mature trees and over 12 benches along the pond, along the stream, and in front of statues. There is a Pergula in front of the pond and a Gazebo along the stream. The Prayer Gardenhas hosted 11 Eagle Scout projects and has worked closely with the Girl Scouts in planting eight trees over the past two years. There are over 20 large flower pots scattered throughout the garden.
Dedicated volunteers work to keep the Prayer Garden attractive all year around.
There are multiple paths to walk, including a circular path for The Stations of the Cross.

Come to the Prayer Garden, come to pray, come to meditate, come to enjoy nature, come to slow down your active lives, you will be happy you did.
